General Motors – Brand Redesign & Campaign Concept
Type: Rebranding / Logo Design / Marketing Campaign Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop Note: This is a conceptual student project created for educational purposes only. General Motors trademarks are used for demonstration and non-commercial intent. Objective: This project focused on reimagining the brand identity of General Motors (GM) — a legacy company facing evolving consumer expectations and increased competition. The goal was to refresh GM’s visual presence and messaging to better connect with modern audiences and position the brand as innovative, reliable, and future-ready. My Role: I designed a new logo system for GM and applied it across a range of branded assets, including vehicle graphics, employee apparel (polo shirts), and promotional materials. In addition to the visual rebrand, I created an advertising campaign to introduce and promote the new look across print and digital platforms. Design Approach: The new identity blends strong, minimal typography with sleek, automotive-inspired styling to reflect GM’s heritage while signaling progress and innovation. The campaign visuals focus on forward-thinking themes — power, technology, and trust — with clean layouts, impactful headlines, and product mockups to showcase real-world application. Result: This project demonstrates my ability to develop a cohesive visual identity, execute brand rollout concepts across multiple mediums, and design campaigns that align with company values and market goals. It highlights both creative direction and branding strategy within a competitive industry.
